WPCenter Yazılım Ticaret Limited Şirketi (“WPCenter”, “we”, “us”) operates wpacquire.com (the “Service”), a marketplace for buying and selling WordPress businesses. This page explains what we collect, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
Your account. Your name, your email address and a password we never store in readable form.
Your listing, if you sell. The figures you give us (revenue, profit, traffic, asking price, month by month history), your description of the business, any screenshots you upload, and your contact details: name, email address, the website and product URLs, and anything else you add to the contact field.
Payments. We do not see or store card details. Payment is taken by Freemius, and we keep the record it sends back: which plan you bought, when it renews, and the identifiers that tie it to your account.
Messages you send us. The contact form emails us your name, email address and message.
Email activity. Whether you clicked a link in an email we sent. We do not track whether you opened it: the tracking pixel that would tell us is deliberately removed from every message we send.
Log data. Your IP address, browser and version, which pages you visited and when, and how long you stayed.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies and reports visits in aggregate.
Who can see what is on a listing
This is the part sellers ask about, so it is written out plainly.
- Anyone, signed in or not: the category, the age of the business, revenue, profit, traffic, the multiple, the twelve month trend and your write-up.
- Anyone with an account: the above, plus your reason for selling.
- Members who pay for a buyer membership: the above, plus the business name, the URL, your name and your email address.
Your email address is never printed into the page itself. A member asks for it and the server hands it over on that request, which keeps it out of reach of anything crawling the site. We do not vet members individually: paying for a membership is what opens the identity, so list on that basis.
Payments and licences
We use Freemius, Inc. (freemius.com) for checkout and licence management. Freemius is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles the licence. Its checkout sets cookies that are necessary for security, fraud prevention and completing a purchase, and there is no way to check out without them. See the Freemius privacy policy and its cookie policy. Freemius is GDPR compliant.
Email we send
About your account and your listing. Confirmations, password links, and a message when your listing goes live. These are part of the service and are not marketing.
Invitations to list. We write to people who publish WordPress plugins, at the business address they publish themselves, to tell them the marketplace exists. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all of it immediately. Reply with a word and we will stop just as well.
Email is sent through our own server using Twilio SendGrid as the delivery provider.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies. Freemius sets checkout cookies during a purchase. You can refuse or clear cookies in your browser, but signing in and checking out will not work without theirs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers. It reaches these companies because they do a specific job for us: Freemius (payments and licences), Twilio SendGrid (email delivery), Google (analytics), and our hosting provider (running the site). Beyond that, we disclose data only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account and listings stay until you ask us to delete them. Payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Analytics and log data age out on their own schedule.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Article 11) you can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, take a copy of it elsewhere, object to us processing it, or withdraw consent you gave. Write to hello@wpacquire.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority, or in Türkiye to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu.
For California residents: we do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines selling, and we have no “Do Not Sell” pipeline to opt out of because there is nothing being sold.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and card details never reach us. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.
Other sites
Listings link out to businesses we do not run. Their privacy policies are theirs, not ours.
Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also go out by email to anyone with an account.
